What is Kodi and What Are Kodi Addons?

What is Kodi?

Kodi, formerly known as XBMC, is an open source media player designed to organize play your network and locally stored media files. Kodi gives you the ability to extend its functionality through the use of a plugin system. These plugins can be used for things like importing meta information and subtitles, but can also be used to interface with web sites providing online video content, directly through the Kodi interface. Kodi comes by default with no addons preinstalled.

What Are Kodi Addons?

Kodi only supports the use of addons to interface with legitimate sources, however due to its open source nature, cannot prevent independent developers from creating addons to interface with questionable type web sites such as those who distribute the latest movies and what not. Kodi does not support addons that provide content of questionable nature, but cannot do anything to prevent it because it is all open source and developed by third parties. Developers come to this web site to release their unofficial Kodi addons.

Kodi is a registered trademark of the XBMC Foundation. We are not connected to or in any other way affiliated with Kodi, Team Kodi, or the XBMC Foundation. Furthermore, any software, addons, or products offered by us will receive no support in official Kodi channels, including the Kodi forums and various social networks.
